I'VE WRITTEN TO THE FOREIGN SECRETARY CALLING FOR A BAN ON TRADE WITH ILLEGAL ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS

Together with almost 140 Labour colleagues, including every Labour select committee chair, I've written to the Foreign Secretary calling for a ban on trade with illegal Israeli settlements.

We are deeply concerned by the sharp rise in violent settler attacks on Palestinians, and by the relentless settlement expansion that is forcing families off their land.

The Israeli government itself says this is designed to make a two-state solution impossible. The UK can act now, as it already has with other illegally occupied lands. It's time to do so.
