To Councillor Jamie Campbell and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council
We, the undersigned residents of the Castle Bromwich ward, in the constituency of Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North, declare that Councillor Alan Feeney and Councillor Jamie Campbell were filmed making racist remarks which were not only distressing to hear but have brought local democratic institutions into disrepute.
There is no place for conduct like this in our community. Councillors are elected to represent every resident of their ward, and residents of Castle Bromwich deserve representation they can trust.
We therefore call on Councillor Jamie Campbell to resign his seat on Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council with immediate effect, so that Castle Bromwich has a councillor who represents and respects all of its resident Councillor Alan Feeney was filmed making racist remarks which were not only distressing to hear but have brought local democratic institutions into disrepute.
