To Councillor Alan Feeney and Birmingham City Council
We, the undersigned residents of the Shard End ward, in the constituency of Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North, declare that Councillor Alan Feeney was filmed making racist remarks which were not only distressing to hear but have brought local democratic institutions into disrepute.
There is no place for racism in our community. Councillors are elected to represent every resident of their ward; residents of Shard End deserve representation they can trust.
We therefore call on Councillor Alan Feeney to resign his seat on Birmingham City Council with immediate effect, so that Shard End has a councillor who represents and respects all of its residents.
