Liam Byrne MP is recruiting an economic advisor to support him in his work as Chair of the APPG on Inclusive Growth, Chair of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF and Chair of the East Birmingham Inclusive Growth Taskforce. The role is for 2 days a week, with the space to extend this during the current financial year. There is scope for the hours to be worked flexibly each week and to work from home where necessary. The successful candidate will be qualified to PhD or Masters level in Economics, with a strong interest in public policy to tackle wealth and income inequality, thoroughly familiar with current inequality debates and literature – and ideally research communities.
