CRACKDOWN ON ORGANISED CRIME ON OUR HIGH STREETS

The West Midlands is getting extra officers from the new National Crime Agency unit to go after the criminal gangs laundering money through vape shops and mini-marts on our high streets.


I have been campaigning for action to protect honest businesses on our high streets and this is a welcome first step.


A new cell in the National Crime Agency will co-ordinate action against this criminal activity - plus there is funding for trading standards to toughen up our response to sham businesses.
