Community power!

We are incredibly fortunate to have such amazing and committed community groups and volunteers in our neighbourhood. People who take pride in our community and use their time to improve our environment for everyone's benefit. Thank you all. Welcome Change hosted me at their magnificent community garden recently and it is wonderful to see such a beautiful space in our constituency. Do visit the garden if you haven’t done so already!

Welcome Change Community Garden

We recently undertook a community litter-pick around St Margaret’s Church in Ward End. It was brilliant to meet so many residents working together for a neighbourhood to be proud of.

I will be holding my annual Funders' Fair in September to bring community groups together with funders. There will be practical information on applying for grants and advice on the different funding streams available.

If you know a community group who would benefit from coming along to the Funders' Fair on Friday 26th September at Arden Hall in Castle Bromwich, please ask them to call 0121 789 7287 to register - as places are free but limited. Please book early!
